Kelly Meyer

Kelly is from Houston and moved to Austin in 2003 for college. She is a graduate of UT with degrees in Spanish and Educational Psychology. A struggle with an eating disorder in college made Kelly realize her need to let go of a life of perfectionism and accept grace into her life. She believes God answered many prayers and gave her the gift of yoga as part of her recovery. She learned to love her body, mind, and heart through yoga and seeks to spread that message through her classes.

Kelly received her 200hr certification in 2009 and is currently pursuing further teacher training.  Her goals as a teacher are to educate, allow discovery, and cultivate joy in every class.  "Every time I teach, joy floods my heart, reminding me that God has made me to teach yoga and blessed me with opportunities to share it with others."
Kelly's biggest yoga influences are Wayo Ramirez, Mark Uridel, Brienne Diebolt-Brown, and Jenn Wooten.

In her free time Kelly loves to spend time with her family, hang out with her golden retriever, garden, and serve in her church. She is passionate about travel, loves to learn about new cultures, and hopes to teach yoga abroad one day.  She will be moving to Denver in January to pursue a Master’s in Counseling at Denver Seminary.
