Mary Ceallaigh
Mary grew up in the California mountains (elev. 7000 ft) and considers the wild forest her first meditation school.  Over twenty years ago a friend invited her to a Hatha Yoga class (at the Yogananda temple in Hollywood), and Mary was ecstatic when she found herself in shoulderstand for the first time!

Since that time, Mary has also evolved a practice as a birth consultant and postpartum caregiver, completing
a B.A. in Human Development in 1991, and then ten years of apprenticeship with Jeannine Parvati (Baba Hari Dass student and author of the first text on Prenatal Yoga in the West).  In 1998 Mary began practicing Kundalini Yoga and Tai Chi, and she was given the name "Guru Partap" by Yogi Bhajan when she became a certified yoga teacher in 2003.   Mary completed her first 10 day silent retreat training at the Southwest Vipassana Center in 2008, and continues a daily practice in this tradition which teaches her the essence of yoga.

Mary loves being a guide for concentrated journeys into the timeless yoga of inner space, intuition, and biodynamic awareness.  Her classes give reverence to the currents of earth and the cosmos, and embrace both light & shadow as the dance of Life.
